10-18-2020 Challenged about paying taxes, Jesus takes a coin and asks whose image does it hold. “The emperor,” say the politicians and temple leaders. What about us? Whose image do we bear? On each of our foreheads is the sign of the cross, a reminder that we have been claimed in the waters of baptism as beloved children of God. So, give to the emperor the things that are the emperor’s, but give to God the things that are God’s. Matthew 22:15-22.
