Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that “No kid sleeps on the floor in our town.” Founded in 2012 by Luke and Heidi Mickelson in Twin Falls, Idaho, SHP builds and delivers free, handmade beds to children aged 3–17 who are sleeping on the floor or in unsafe conditions. The organization has expanded to over 200 chapters across the U.S., including one in San Antonio.
Each bed delivery SHP provides includes a wooden bunk or twin bed frame, a new mattress, bedding, pillows, and comforters—completely free to the family. To date, SHP has delivered over 273,000 beds nationwide.
Throughout June, you are invited to donate items from the SHP Amazon and Walmart wish lists, or you can purchase new twin-size sheets, cozy comforters, vibrant quilts, soft standard pillows, and complete bed-in-a-bag sets. Every donation makes a significant impact in providing comfort to those in need. Please drop off your generous contributions in the narthex. Thank you for your support!
