March 7, 2021 – Moses gives the law to the people wandering in the wilderness. Each commandment calls them to be in relationship with God and each other. This is another covenant God makes, and each covenant calls us to reveal God to the world in everything we say and do. As Jesus enters the temple, what he experiences is troubling. The temple, the place where God dwells and is revealed, has turned into a marketplace. Jesus not only cleanses the temple but proclaims himself a new temple revealing God to all the world. He invites us to do the same.
