Thanks to your incredible generosity, Abiding Presence Lutheran Church is thrilled to announce that we have fully funded the church’s ninth water well in collaboration with Water to Thrive! This milestone is not just a number; it symbolizes a commitment to making a positive impact in the world.

Water to Thrive has transformed lives across East Africa, bringing clean drinking water to over one million people through more than 2,000 projects spanning four countries. Each well represents hope, health, and opportunity for entire communities who previously faced long, dangerous journeys to access clean water.
The church’s contribution will serve over 500 people for up to 20 years—an investment that extends far beyond immediate needs. Access to clean water means children can attend school instead of walking miles to collect water. It means families spend less time sick and more time building their futures. Women and girls, who traditionally bear the burden of water collection, gain precious hours for education and economic opportunities.
Water to Thrive’s community-centered approach ensures local ownership and sustainability. Villages receive training in well maintenance, creating local jobs and ensuring long-term success.
Abiding Presence Lutheran Church’s commitment shows how faith communities can address global challenges through thoughtful partnerships. This well joins hundreds of others creating ripple effects of health, education, and empowerment across rural Africa—one drop at a time.
